The literal definition of facilitation is “to make something easier” – that’s what I do when I facilitate a meeting or create a workshop for you.
It could be a strategy Away Day with your Board to look ahead for the next three years. Or it could be an operational meeting to work out priorities with your team for the next 3 months, or discuss how to progress a particularly tricky project.
My role as facilitator covers three phases:
- Before the meeting
I will help you plan the agenda, working out the key outcomes you need, providing ideas for sessions to encourage creativity and openness, and advising on timing.
- At the meeting
I will lead the meeting, taking everyone through the planned sessions. And this is the key benefit – you can take part in the meeting without having to run it, allowing to space to think and contribute
- After the meeting
Depending on your requirements I can produce summary notes which capture the key action points.
